Nico G is a motivating and inspiring musician whose music career began at a very early age as he performed on stages around South Africa.
At the age of 8 years, he performed as the lead singer and songwriter for an 80’s hit South African child pop band. Originally trained at a very young age by the late legendary South African born international Vocal & Opera Star, Eve Boswell, Nico performed with cover bands at many shows, weddings, church conferences and events during these formative years.
With an enthusiastic calling and deep passion for continued development of vocal and singing abilities, Nico continuously upgrades his skills by working with classes offered by international vocal coaches in order to be able to train students in the very best vocal and performance techniques utilized by today’s mega-performing artists.
As an experienced stage performer, dance teacher and ex-model his goal is to ensure that his students learn how to take their new-found skills to the highest potential so they can become masters of their stage and suggests that new students first meet with him on a one-to-one basis so they can accurately assess the correct approach for the chosen path that lies ahead.
As co-owner and Principal Director of ANUA School of Music in Benoni, Nico offers unique and specialised vocal and performance coaching and accepts students of varied ages and back-ground under his tutelage. Each student works toward attaining an internationally accepted diploma with the yearly theory and practical curriculum offered by Trinity College London.
These students will also work towards performing in internationally facilitated auditions held at the School (and other locations) on a regular basis. As Master class learners, any new student wishing to work with Nico are only accepted after a rigorous audition process and must adhere to specific criteria. Those who are willing to put in the work and make success and ambition their life can therefore look towards Stardom under the Rising Stars curriculum at the School with Nico guiding them as coach and mentor.
Alternative classes are available for students who may need some time to study and develop their vocal abilities before beginning to work with Nico as a Performing Artist are available at the School too. These options are discussed openly at an initial interview with the School and Nico.
The School is the registered venue on the East Rand for the annual Trinity College London exams and also facilitates frequent auditions for multi-talent Agency heads as well as being the headquarters for the annual ANUA RISING STARS TALENT SHOWCASE, which is a Talent and Performance driven Arts Showcase creating, developing and offering appropriate talent to international talent convention scouts as well as local casting agencies.
